DOORS New Entities in The Archives Update — All New Monsters
Meet every new entity added in the DOORS Archives update. Learn how to survive the newest monsters haunting Floor 3 of Roblox DOORS.
Guide artwork Overview
The Archives update (August 31, 2026) introduces a whole roster of brand-new entities haunting Floor 3 of DOORS. These aren’t just reskins — many of them introduce entirely new mechanics that change how you play the game.
This page covers every new entity from The Archives update: what they do, where you’ll find them, and most importantly — how to survive each encounter.
Note: The Archives is very new. Entity names, behaviors, and spawn conditions are based on official trailer analysis, LSPLASH announcements, and early community findings. Details may be refined as players spend more time with the update. Always verify in-game.

The Archivist
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Type | Boss / Major Threat |
| Floor | The Archives (Floor 3) |
| Location | The Stacks, The Vault |
| Danger | Very High — instant death |
| Cue | Slow, heavy footsteps; shuffling paper sounds; distant humming |
The Archivist is the signature new entity of The Archives update. It’s a tall, lanky figure that slowly patrols the archive halls, methodically checking documents and filing cabinets.
It seems slow — and it is — but it has a terrifying ability: it can see through doors and walls using some kind of sensory perception. If you’re in a room it’s about to enter, it knows you’re there.
How to Survive The Archivist
- Don’t make sound. It’s slow but has sharp hearing — even sharper than Figure.
- Hide in filing cabinets. Yes, you can hide inside certain cabinets.
- Don’t let it corner you. It’s slow, but if it blocks the only exit, you’re done.
- Use distractions. Some items can make noise on the other side of a room, drawing it away from your position.
- Run only as a last resort. Sprinting makes a lot of noise and it will hear you.
- The crucifix works on it — but you might want to save it for something worse.
Page Turner
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Type | Ambusher |
| Floor | The Archives |
| Location | The Stacks, Reading Room |
| Danger | Medium-High — deals heavy damage |
| Cue | Rustling pages; faint movement in the book stacks |
Page Turner is a small, fast entity that hides among piles of books and documents. It’s almost invisible until it strikes — it literally looks like a pile of paper until it moves.
It doesn’t kill you in one hit, but it deals significant damage and can quickly finish you off if your health is already low.
How to Survive Page Turner
- Shine your light into book piles before walking past them
- Listen for rustling — if you hear pages turning, something’s in there
- Don’t get too close to document stacks without checking first
- It jumps at you — if it leaps, back up quickly
- Vitamins help — if you’re fast enough, you can outrun it through a few rooms
- It can’t follow you far — it tends to stay in its pile
Card Catalog
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Type | Trap Entity |
| Floor | The Archives |
| Location | The Stacks, anywhere with filing cabinets |
| Danger | Medium — deals damage and alerts other entities |
| Cue | Looks identical to a normal filing cabinet |
Card Catalog is a trap entity that disguises itself as a regular filing cabinet. Open the wrong drawer, and it attacks — dealing damage and making a huge amount of noise that draws every other entity in the area straight to you.
The worst part: you can’t tell it apart from a normal cabinet just by looking.
How to Survive Card Catalog
- Don’t open every cabinet. Be selective — only search ones you need to.
- Listen before opening. A very faint grinding sound can be heard if you’re close and the room is quiet.
- If it triggers, run. Get out of the room fast — the noise will attract things.
- Don’t open cabinets near closets you might need. If Card Catalog goes off and draws The Archivist, you want a hiding spot ready.
- Some cabinets are safe. The ones in lit, populated areas tend to be normal. Isolated cabinets in dark corners are more likely to be Card Catalog.
Static
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Type | Environmental / Visual Hazard |
| Floor | The Archives |
| Location | The Record Room, areas with old monitors |
| Danger | Medium — damage over time + disorientation |
| Cue | Static noise; flickering monitor screens; visual distortion |
Static is an entity that manifests through old screens, monitors, and recording equipment. When you enter its room, the screens fill with static and you start hearing loud static noise.
Looking at the screens deals damage and causes visual distortion — kind of like Eyes, but worse because the screens are everywhere and they turn on when you enter.
How to Survive Static
- Close your eyes / look at the floor until you find the off switch
- Find the power panel in the room and turn it off — that dispels Static
- Don’t look at any screens — even a glance starts the damage
- Move carefully — the visual distortion makes it hard to navigate
- Hold onto walls to avoid getting lost in the distortion
- It can’t move — it’s tied to the equipment in the room. Find the off switch and you’re safe.
Dust
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Type | Area Denial / Swarm |
| Floor | The Archives |
| Location | The Stacks (deeper sections), Basement Archives |
| Danger | High — continuous damage if you breathe it in |
| Cue | Visible dust clouds in the air; coughing sound effect |
Dust is a swarm entity that fills entire rooms with thick, choking dust clouds. Walking through a Dust room without protection deals continuous damage — and you can’t see very far, making it easy to walk straight into another entity.
How to Survive Dust
- Wear a gas mask — it completely blocks the damage
- No gas mask? Hold your breath and run. You have a limited time before you take damage — sprint through as fast as you can.
- Vitamins help — the speed boost gets you through faster
- You can’t see far — move carefully to avoid traps and other entities
- Dust rooms usually have items — they’re dangerous but rewarding
- The dust eventually settles — wait nearby and it might clear on its own (but it takes a while)
Other Returning Entities in The Archives
It’s not all new monsters. Some familiar faces return for Floor 3:
- Screech — loves dark archive corners. Even more Screech than usual because of how dark The Archives is.
- Eyes — appear on filing cabinets and document stacks. Still as unpleasant as ever.
- Rush — yes, Rush still exists. It still speeds through rooms. Hide like normal.
- Jeff — our favorite shopkeep returns! You can find Jeff’s Shop somewhere in The Archives. Stock up before the deeper sections.
